Q & A with middle and high school students (the night I was paparazzi-ing) who shot a music video with iPhone. These kids were given minimal tools, lots of support and boy did they rock it. The Making Of film shown after the music video premier showed an inspiring environment of learning, failing and yes, succeeding! Behold, the magic of experiential education.
This project is a joint collaboration between Julia’s Gallery For Young Artists at the Farnsworth Art Museum and the Strand Theatre. Over a two month period, participants were involved in pre-production, directing, screenwriting, acting, camera work, set photography, sound and post production, working under the guidance of director Nicole Marie Fuller and production designer, Virginia Hastings. The 1920s themed video features fantastical montages and vintage zombies.
I’m super proud of Nicole and Virginia for conceiving and realizing this most impressive pilot program.
(I’d post the videos, but THEY AREN’T ONLINE YET. Boo! But here are some of my snaps from the night. Fun!)
