Each presenter is allowed 20 images, each shown for 20 seconds each - giving 6 minutes 40 seconds of fame before the next presenter is up. This keeps presentations concise, the interest level up, and gives more people the chance to show.
Crazy ridiculous showing for Pecha Kucha Rockland at Eric Hopkins Gallery last night. Like more than a hundred people ridiculous. I stood in the very back of the room with my mom. She and another woman shared a milk crate to extend their 5’ 3” bodies high enough to see the show; up, down, up, down. Luckily I’m tall, so I could see most of the slides.
The segments were short and sweet, as the description says… and in a way I’m still feeling the experience. Residual waves of inspiration, drawing from the process and art of others.
