Pillow Talk?
Tina, a friend who works for a New England based NPR station is producing a story for Valentine’s Day, on the way in which lovers speak to one another.
This may be a shot in the dark… But I thought I would put it to you… I’m starting work on a little story for Valentine’s Day (yes, I know, that’s months away)… And I’m looking to recruit some people who would be willing to be interviewed for it… Here’s the general idea of what I’m looking for…
Do you and your partner/lover/wife/husband/boyfriend/girlfriend have a specific way of talking to one another, that just the two of you share? Maybe it’s certain words… or a little phrase that has a meaning that’s only something you know about… maybe it’s a totally embarrassing baby-talk… This could be from a present or past relationship…
I’m looking to talk to some people about the intimate language they have with their partner… And don’t worry— in this story I’ll be sharing some (yes, very embarrassing) highlights from my own past…
Do you have something you could talk to me about? You wouldn’t necessarily have to be identified by name, if that makes you uncomfortable… And, if you AND your partner would be willing to be interviewed, that would be even better…
OR… do you have ideas of someone else I could talk to? Feel free to pass this email on!
Buzz me an email at emilyqualey@gmail.com if you are interested or might be willing to participate, and I’ll connect to Tina.
