I might be delivering/driving a car from Camden to New Orleans in the first week of November. If all goes to plan I’ll make stops in Newport, RI and Annapolis, MD. I’ll probably spend an extra day in Charleston, SC to hang out for election day (maybe volunteering) before the long haul to New Orleans. (Yes, I’ve already remembered that if I do this I’ll need one of those absentee ballot thingies)

Faux-Boy

A male who at first glance may appear to be a young man (by the way he dresses, walks and acts), but upon closer inspection or proximity is revealed to be an old(er) man.

The sailing industry (and surfing, too) has a lot of these faux-boys in its midst.

This I know:

The dog next door, his name is Marley. I don’t know the names of any of the humans that belong to him, but I do know good ole Marley. I’m familiar with Marley’s whine. I know Marley’s whimper. Tonight, he mixed it up, and I got to know his bark.
